Some people believe that there are health benefits to regular hosiery, which includes support hosiery. There are definitely benefits to medical compression hosiery, but this question is for those of us when we are not wearing that.

I feel better in some ways. I think that my legs would feel much better if I would wear the medical stuff, but there are benefits to the regular kinds, too. Having snug fabric around my legs, helps me to feel a little emotionally secure. Having a thin fabric around my feet helps them to stay dry.
ReplyDeleteThere was one time after playing some basketball for a long time, I came home and put on some L'eggs Shear Energy pantyhose and my legs felt better, but I could feel the difference when I took them off at night. So non compression hosiery can help the legs feel good.
ReplyDeleteGreat feedback! I'm not surprised about L'eggs Sheer Energy. They do seem to have a very comforting snugness to them.
ReplyDeleteDuring the week I normally wear L'eggs Active Support hosiery at my job. I work for the local phone company, and I suffer from constant chronic leg fatigue and RLS and once I started wearing full time on my doc's advice, I found that full support hosiery are a God-send. I'm constantly on and out of the back of my fiber splicing truck, up and down ladders or on my feet constantly. L'eggs, Comfilon Activskin and Hans Alive have saved my legs and stopped my leg soreness. Best of all, I'm a drummer to a metal band...by wearing full support hosiery, my legs have much more stamina and can withstand a punishing practice. I no longer come home with ultra sore legs.
ReplyDeleteDJ SpeedKing, you need leg stamina to play the drums?
