This is also old news for hosiery enthusiasts. The question is, should people be ashamed for needing or wanting makeup for the legs? Read the remainder of my blog entry for my opinion on the matter.
I was looking at a woman's bare legs on the bus, the other day. Overall, they were not bad. The thing is that her legs had red spots all over. They are the kinds of red spots that you get, when you epilate you legs. I assume that legs get like that, also, when you wax them. Those red spots are the pores that held your hair follicles.
Contrast that to a baby's skin. The skin is usually blemish free, and any pores are very hard to see. As time goes on, our pores become more noticeable, and the wrinkles become more noticeable, too. In many cases, our veins become more noticeable.
If women do not mind putting make up on their faces, then why would they be ashamed to wear makeup on their legs? The truth is that the answer does not matter, because we have nothing to be ashamed of.
Hosiery frames the legs, and it evens out the texture of the skin. There is nothing embarrassing about older skin, but there is nothing wrong with wanting to cover it up, just as there is nothing wrong with putting makeup on. Ladies, put on some hosiery.
