Pantyhose Lasts Longer With Lycra® Fusion

LYCRA® Fusion is a brand of spandex. There are other brands of spandex out there. INVISTA, the company that owns LYCRA®, has made the effort to create a better fibre that will help our hosiery to run less. I am looking forward to seeing how this feels. I can imagine that we will get the same great feeling products that do not run as much as they currently do. The page explains clearly the decisions and thoughts behind the marketing efforts.

At the end of that page is a link to their brochure, which explains it better than I ever could, and shows 2 great photos. There are magnified photos that show how a hole will not run.

An interesting thing in the brochure is the phrase, The first flight starts in October 2009. It seems that I am not as connected to the hosiery industry as I would like to believe.

Does anybody have any experience with LYCRA® Fusion? Have you tried wearing it?

The end. Thank you for reading!

  1. Unfortunately, some people assume that this fiber will help them avoid rips which is not true. This may only help a hole not turn into a run. You can still easily tear them if you are not careful. I've seen this fiber in very sheer hosiery only. A totally undestructible sheer hosiery is still a dream.

Did you try wearing the very sheer hosiery with LYCRA® Fusion?
